Short Wave Products

IRC partners with UTC Aerospace Systems to distribute a full range of high-performance short wave infrared and near-infrared cameras. These room temperature cameras work exceptionally well in low-light to daylight environments, and across a range of applications including defense, security, automated inspection, biomedical, solar cell inspection and spectroscopy.

All of our SWIR cameras operate without the use of mechanical shutters. The new H series cameras are designed to function in harsh environments, making them ideal for persistent surveillance and other military, aerospace, and marine mission requirements.

The new GA1280J is a high sensitivity 1280x1024 pixel, 15μm pitch, Mil-Hard, shortwave infrared (SWIR) camera. This compact camera weighs < 125g with a total volume of < 4.3 cubic inches, allowing it to fit easily on-board most aerial, ground, and fixed platforms. Standard wavelength response for the GA1280J is 0.9μm to 1.7μm, with an extended response from 0.7μm to 1.7μm optionally available.

The new H Series mil-hardened InGaAs SWIR cameras are compact, lightweight, and low power, making them ideal for use in military imaging systems that operate in harsh environments under extreme conditions. The ability to image through fog, haze, smoke or dust anytime makes the H Series useful for manned or unmanned ground and air systems, in both surveillance and ISR applications.

The compact KT Series InGaAs cameras bring high resolution SWIR imaging performance to surveillance, sorting, inspection, spectral imaging, and machine vision applications. All KT Series cameras feature 12-bit Camera Link and RS-170 video output, with a standard spectral response from 0.9μm to 1.7μm.

The large format SD Series InGaAs cameras feature 640 x 512 room temperature solid-state sensors, allowing users to capture images in the 0.9 μm to 1.7 μm near infrared wavelength spectrum with unprecedented field of view, resolution and sensitivity. The SD Series features 14-bit Camera Link digital and RS-170 video outputs. High sensitivity, high frame rate and extended wavelength are optional.

Notes

  1. Standard wavelength response for all UTC Aerospace Systems SWIR cameras is 900 – 1700nm.
  2. Pixel size for all cameras is 25µm, with the exception of the GA1280J, which is 15µm and SU320HX is 40µm.
  3. All UTC Aerospace Systems cameras provide both RS-170 video and Camera Link digital outputs.
